The course of the Forte dei Marmi Golf Club, within the Versilia Golf Resort, offers an unique scenery that allows to play at a few hundred meters from the sea, but with mountain views.
Designed by Venetian architect Marco Croze in 1990 and member of the Italian Golf Federation from the very beginning, our golf club in a short time has become one of the most famous golf courses in Tuscany, reference point for all golfers in Italy and abroad. The course has a lively layout that recall a parkland course and covers a wide and varied area, with large open spaces, centuries-old woods, water hazards and large fairways.
The course of the Forte dei Marmi Golf Club has 18 holes, par 71, and a length of 5.873m. The technical course offers exciting challenges for golfers of all levels.
Recently changes have been made to the course and there is in progress a planting project with native species to make the course even more spectacular and technically challenging. The turf of the fairway has been reconverted with Agrostide L93, considered the most suitable to the structure of the substrate, while the departure areas of each hole have been renovated with Tifway 419, a particular type of warm season species able to best bear the wear from trampling.
